All Morning and Afterschool Programs begin September 2, 2008

The Morning and Afterschool Programs are designed to help working parents keep their children in a safe environment and free them from the worry of transporting their children after school to another location. School hours are 8:20 - 2:50. Students may arrive at the school after 7:50 in the morning and will be supervised by staff members on the playground. At the end of the school day, all children should be picked up by 3pm. If children need to be at school before or beyond these times, we offer morning and afterschool programs.

MORNING CARE:
7:00 - 7:50 every school morning, (if there is a delay in the start of school, the Morning Care Program will also be delayed by the same amount of time). This program is for students who must be dropped off at school before the teachers start bus duty at 7:50a.m. This program is held in the white building and supervised by a staff member. The cost is $3.00 per morning.

STUDY SKILLS and AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM:
The Afterschool Program provides a structured academic environment for students who require afterschool care. The focus will be study skills for 1st - 8th grade students supervised by classroom teachers in the main building (Kindergarten students have activities in their classroom). Students are grouped by grade levels and teachers are there to help students with their homework assignments. At 4p.m. the students are walked over to the white building for the balance of the afternoon (students who only stay until 4p.m. are dismissed to their parents in the parking lot). The afterschool program is open to all students, K-8, until 5:30. The students are again supervised by teachers and weather permitting, have outdoor recess. Students may register for just the study skills program at the cost of $4 per day ($3 per hour for each additional child per family) or the afterschool program until 5:30, which includes the study skills program, for $10.00 per day. Rates may be prorated by the half hour.

PAYMENT:
Bills will be sent out with the yearly payment schedule based on the Registration form (linked below). Payment must be made whether your child attends or not, as this space has been reserved and staff has been employed. Each month's payment is due by the fifth of the month.

LATE FEES:
1. A late payment fee of $20 will be charged after the 15th of the month.
2. Late pickups are an additional $10 charge for each 5 minutes after 5:30.

THERE WILL BE NO PROGRAMS ON DAYS THAT SCHOOL HAS BEEN CANCELLED. On early release days, there will be afterschool programs from 1:15 - 5:30. If your child normally stays only for Study Skills till 4p.m, the pickup time is 2:15 on early release days. If you need care till 4pm on early release days, please contact the school office. If school is released early due to weather conditions, we ask that parents pick up their children as soon as possible.

PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE WITH THE EXTENDED CARE REGISTRATION FORM TO ENROLL YOUR CHILD FOR THESE PROGRAMS. SPACE IS LIMITED AND STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN THESE PROGRAMS WILL BE GIVEN FIRST PRIORITY.
