Computer class at SES is taught to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders four times a week. The sixth grade is a very instructional year. The students start the year learning how to type correctly and they continue to improve throughout their Jr. High years. Most eighth graders graduate able to type an average of over sixty words per minute.

The students learn the following programs and incorporate them into our curriculum: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, and Inspiration. They also design Websites and create a unit on careers at the end of their eighth grade year. The teachers in the Junior High work closely with Mrs. Badgley to integrate technology in their thematic units.
